I am Walter Schreibeld, also known as Conwald. I am a Dutch composer, musician and producer of pop music.
I was born in 1966 in the Netherlands to a musical family. My father played accordion, my mother played guitar, accordion and piano and my sister also played piano. I myself played violin, with which I played in a classical orchestra and a folk music ensemble. You can say that I am classically trained in the first instance.

From the 80s I became interested in pop music. My heroes were Queen, the Pet Shop Boys, Aha and other bands that made pop songs with a good atmosphere and a nice melody. In 1992 I bought my first synthesizer. A musical world opened up for me. What a sounds! With a music program on the computer the synthesizer could be controlled with which composing started. Shortly after that I bought a sound module with no less than 2000 sounds and from that time on I composed a lot of songs.

Because I was busy with other things besides the music, the songs were never released. However, I continued to work on it. The first song that is ready is an instrumental song. The title says everything about how I live: Follow your heart (it knows the way).
